A forgotten dog- needs your help

Dear Friends,
In animal rescue when we all commit to rescuing a dog, we assume that means for the life of the dog. If the dog is returned, needs our help or support, we continue to fight for that dog. We do right by that dog for however long he or she is alive.

Recently Take Me Home acquired a forgotten dog who was left at a boarding kennel. Rarely or never walked, she sits watching the days pass her by. She turns her head back and forth waiting..wondering what she did wrong! She didn't do anything wrong. It was the humans who failed her. This dog is Precious and she is a friendly, gorgeous, chocolate brown Pit Bull who just wants to crawl into your lap. Take Me Home met and fell in love with Precious and several of our volunteers began making the trip to the kennel to walk her. We have seen firsthand that this dog is stressed and pleading to be taken home. She leans her body into ours so tightly as if she is trying to never let go, yearning for human touch and companionship.

Precious was pulled by Ruffhouzen Rescue. Ruffhouzen Rescue says that Precious is not a Ruffhouzen dog, that she was pulled by a rescuer formerly associated with Ruffhouzen and that Precious is the responsibility of that rescuer. Take Me Home refuses to get in the middle of trying to determine who is responsible for Precious, as no one seems to be stepping up to help Precious, and all we care about is her welfare. Take Me Home cannot turn our back on a dog with no rescue behind her and no advocate to protect her. Precious is so sweet but due to the stress of boarding and minimal walks she was showing signs of dog aggression. She needs a rescue to give her the familial support that she so desperately needs to succeed. Take Me Home cannot and will not turn our backs to this injustice.
Unfortunately this emergency rescue is not in our budget. Precious needs to go to our trainer for much needed socialization, leash training and justifiable rehabilitation. Any donation towards Precious care is much appreciated. After training she will need a foster home or a forever home that will help reinforce her new amazing transformation. She is so smart, so eager to please, and so thankful. We know a little training is going to go a long way and Take Me Home will stand by her side and will be her advocate for life.

PLEASE HELP US SHOW PRECIOUS THAT SHE IS NOT FORGOTTEN AND TOGETHER WE WILL ALL RESCUE HER ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
