Liberty recovering from a successful surgery!

Take Me Home is thrilled to report that Liberty came through surgery with flying colors! She was spayed, her vaginal hyperplasia was corrected, and the cancerous tumor on her leg was removed. Liberty endured all procedures with no complications and awoke alert, bright eyed, and eager to embrace a brand new life!

The cancerous tumor on Liberty’s nose did not shrink in time to be removed during her other procedures; however, it was important that we moved forward with the spay and vaginal hyperplasia surgery before she endured further complications. We will continue to treat the tumor on her nose and as the photos illustrate, those treatments are making progress.

Liberty is so grateful for all the prayers and well wishes and has eagerly greeted those who have come to visit and show their support. Perhaps one of the most touching, seven year old Shea who personally delivered the ten dollars she saved for Liberty’s surgery. And the greeting Liberty gave her foster mom, as soon as she realized that she was back in the first loving home she has never known, is the very reason that Take Me Home does the work we do.

On behalf of Liberty, Take Me Home thanks you. We thank you for believing that a dog like Liberty deserves a life far greater than being left in the dirt and denied medical attention. We thank you for your confidence in knowing that we can provide a bright future for dogs like Liberty. And we thank you for your continued support; for understanding that without your generosity, we would never have been able to answer Liberty’s desperate plea, “Take Me Home”.
