Scarlett Needs Her Forever Home!

Scarlett is a young, beautiful Boxer girl who deserves a life far greater than the one her owners provided her for the first three years of her life. Despite what may look like a serious skin ailment, Scarlett’s condition is nothing more than a very simple, non-contagious case of demodex mange that is easily treated and is resolving quickly with daily medication. The problem is, her owners refused to provide her with this medication and so Scarlett’s mange was allowed to progress to the degree that she lost all of the fur on her body. She spent the first three years of her life in and out of vets’ offices, only to go back home with owners who promised to provide her the simple medical attention she required; only to return her to the vet months later, in far worse condition than the time before. When Scarlett’s neglect reached the degree to which all of the fur was missing from her body and her skin was so covered in painful secondary infections that she looked as though she had suffered severe burns, her family finally turned her into the city shelter where she was declared unadoptable, her condition was so critical. Scarlett was released to Take Me Home and after only a few days of proper medication, her mange began to resolve and she is now growing a beautiful coat of soft fawn fur. Within a few months’ time, we expect her fur to completely grow in and you won’t ever be able to tell how severe this sweet girl’s suffering truly was. Scarlett is in a foster home where she has been housebroken and spends her days playing with her four Boxer siblings. Despite her severe neglect in the past, Scarlett has been very loving with all the people she has met and wins them over with her deep brown, soulful eyes that have so much to say. Scarlett is extremely playful and puppy like; likely because never had a true puppyhood where she could frolic and play as any puppy would do. As a result, she loves her toys and now that she feels better, she has the energy and playfulness of a one year old. Scarlett would do best in a home with older children due to her puppy-like nature and deserves a home that will provide her with the exercise, the attention, and the compassion that she was deprived the first three years of her life. If you are someone who is interested in a true rescue dog that deserves nothing more than the compassion and security of a stable, loving home, then look no further than Scarlett. You couldn’t ask for a dog more grateful for this second chance and she will thank you endlessly with her loyalty and love! http://www.takemehome.tv/
